The Volvo Shop in Ft Lauderdale was opened due to the constant request for good quality, affordable and speedy repairs of Volvo vehicles. Previously there were no alternatives to dealer services which often had lengthy wait times and unfriendly attitudes. Another common complaint was that items were not repaired correctly or more stuff was wrong when the vehicle was returned.

Here at the Volvo Shop we understand that your time is valuable and we strive to make your visit to us as quick and painless as possible. We are a small and personal shop with over 48 years of combined experience, not just in Volvo servicing but other high end European vehicles as well, ranging from Alfa Romeos to Zephyrs.

Owner, Shayne Young's love affair with Volvo Motor Cars started back in Australia in 1984 where he served his apprenticeship; becoming a Volvo Dealer traine. Since then he has trained with most of the European car industries best; working for marques such as Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Land Rover, Peugeot, Jaguar, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Lancia, DeTomaso, Porsche, Rolls Royce, Bentley and Audi.

He has traveled the world, worked for Rolls Royce in England and has made his home here in Ft Lauderdale for the past 14 years where he has run most of the larger independent European car repair shops.

Shayne has achieved the highest certifications possible with the ASE with certifications in all facets of automobile repairs. He started a Volvo/Jaguar repair shop by the name of Prestige British which was subsequently sold and the Volvo Shop was born just 2 doors down.

Having owned numerous Volvo vehicles his love for these autos runs deep, his affinity with these unique vehicles is not just a job but more so a passion.
